MAIN TASKS - The Microsystems Acupuncture Regulatory Working Group’s tasks will be:
a) Specific
- To create the relevant structures and policies required to create a single register and regulator for Microsystems acupuncture.
- To liaise with education providers and statutory authorities in the maintenance and development of educational standards and CPD.
- To liaise with the Department of Health, the Acupuncture Stakeholders Group the Foundation for Integrated Health and any other relevant body, to ensure the co-ordination of standards and co-ordination of regulatory developments.
- To liaise with statutory, local and public health authorities on issues affecting the safe use of Microsystems acupuncture and it’s associated interventions.
b) General
To identify and invite identified Microsystems acupuncture associations, organisations and representative interest groups to attend the meetings, and join the group.
To review annually the working practices and financial arrangements of the Group.
To provide detailed minutes and reports to constituent members of the Group and occasional edited minutes for wider circulation.
To make public statements and comment, by consensus agreement, on behalf of the Microsystems acupuncture profession as represented within the Group.
c) Powers
The Microsystems Acupuncture Regulatory Working Group has no formal powers:

The Microsystems Acupuncture Regulatory Working Group will meet quarterly.
